My First Tries - Strawberry Shortcake and Chocolate Fudge

Strawberry Shortcake

After trying the strawberry mousse cake, and upon request by my husband for a strawberry shortcake, decided to give it a try, using the sponge cake recipe that I used for strawberry mousse for this strawberry shortcake.

The result is good.. even my brother thought that I bought it. However, I will still need to improve on my presentation of the cake.

Chocolate Fudge Cake

I have all along wanted to try baking a chocolate fudge cake and thank you for the recipe that I found at Kitchen Capers, I decided to give it a go.

I was too eager to let my family try the cake thus did not manage to take a picture of the whole cake. However, I think this fudge cake is easier to smoothen than the strawberry shortcake. Nonetheless, though the cake turns out well, personally I think my area for improvement is still the presentation of the cake.

Onde Onde

Decided to try out making one of my favourites.. onde onde.. this one, using sweet potato, and the result turn out well.. my daughter loved it so much that she ate 5 at one go!

I Am Back!

So excited to be back into baking.. after such a long break! My bro became my first guinea pig as I decided to make him a tiramisu cake for his birthday. I was so excited yet also worried that I had lost some of my baking skills that the cake will not be nice.. thank god, the comments was good, except that I need to add in more kahlua. Hmm, but think I need to improve on my decoration skills also.
